Introducing Young, our Korean Volunteer at MIND in Kingston.

My name is Young Sun Youn and I'm from South Korea and have been living in England for the last 3½ years. I'm currently an MA student in Psychotherapy and Counselling and I have also become a volunteer at MIND in Kingston – taking calls on a Tuesday morning from those of the Korean community who would like some help, support or just some information.

About Mind in Kingston

Mind in Kingston is a local Mental Health charity, affiliated to Mind, the National Association for Mental Health.

Our Aims

Our overall aim is to promote the understanding of mental health issues and to provide a range of services in the Royal Borough of Kingston to people with support needs due to their mental health.

Mind in Kingston aims to achieve the following outcomes:

For our tenants and service users
A home that meets their needs where they can manage their own daily living.
The chance to use their strengths and abilities in ways they find rewarding.
A satisfying and supportive social network.
The quality of life they want for themselves.
