Drop-In Centres

Mind in Kingston runs two drop-in cafés: the Bridge and the Star. They offer subsidised meals, low level support and promote social inclusion. The service is designed to provide a safe, non-judgemental space for people with mental health issues, whether diagnosed or not. The cafés are open in the evenings and at weekends when other non-crisis services are closed.

No referral is required. On Tuesday we run peer led groups which have included sewing, card making and photography. On Wednesdays the Cafe is closed to the public as we hold 'Wellbeing Wednesdays' - workshops and training focusing on managing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, anger management and mindfulness. On a Friday, we have film night and in the summer months we run Saturday art workshops. We also run other activities and theme nights.
