Mental Health Service User Involvement Project - What is it?

Quality & Quality Management in Mind

Kingston Mind community is committed to quality. Our team is passionate about providing the very best services possible. We employ service users and strive to promote mental well-being in our community and work toward changing society's negative attitudes towards mental distress. At the moment we are going through Mind's Quality Review, which happens every two or three years. Mind has extremely high expectations of its local associations and we are finding this process a real challenge because of all the other pressing demands on staff here. However, the rigorous standards of the Review have already helped us to make some important changes to our practices, processes and procedures.

Introducing Young, our Korean Volunteer at Mind in Kingston.

My name is Young Sun Youn and I'm from South Korea and have been living in England for the last 3½ years. I'm currently an MA student in Psychotherapy and Counselling and I have also become a volunteer at MIND in Kingston - taking calls on a Tuesday morning from those of the Korean community who would like some help, support or just some information.
