Mystery Art Sale

In May 2018, Mind in Kingston and KINC, the Kingston Independent Network of Creatives, collaborated to run the first ever Mystery Art Sale.

Local photographer Paul Mowatt and artist Robin Rutherford invited artists to submit an original work which was anonymously at 35 each. This gave the same exposure to each artist and allowed people to buy original art at a fraction of the gallery price. All the proceeds went to Mind in Kingston.

It coincided with Mental Health Awareness Week, and ensured we were able to raise awareness of mental health issues in a positive way.

The event was a huge success with the majority of the works sold - and it raised nearly 3,000 for Mind in Kingston.

We will be running the event again next year - if you are an artist and you wish to join us, please keep an eye on our website and social media pages for dates, including the submission date and instructions on the dimensions of the art work. If you wish to help us out as a volunteer or come along as a supporter, please check out our website and social media pages where we will post any updates.

In the meantime, have a look at these pictures to see the fabulous art submitted and our event in full swing!
