Help us to be there to support mental wellbeing
KINC, the Kingston Independent Network of Creatives, is raising money for Mind in Kingston with their Mystery Art Sale.
Local photographer Paul Mowatt and artist Robin Rutherford are supporting Mind in Kingston by inviting artists to submit an original work which will be sold anonymously. Each work will be priced the same at £35, and no one will know whose work they are buying. It will allow people to own original art at the fraction of the gallery price, and also support their local mental health charity.
Our grand opening was yesterday (17th of May), a huge success with lots of pictures sold. We are open today until 6pm and tomorrow from 11am-6pm so please pop in.
On Saturday at 5pm, there will be a fantastic raffle, presented by Janie Harland from Fusion Arts - we have great prizes from a range of artists including Gary Turner, Derek Turner and Stuart Ganley. Tickets are just £1 and you could go hom with fabulous art work.
Would you like to submit a work to the exhibition? Then please click here for the submission form - the size of the work is limited but it will be professionally frames and mounted. We have extended our deadline to the 14th of May due to the huge amount of interest in the event.
Works should be sent to Mind in Kingston's office (please go the the Contact Us page here).
The event takes place during Mental Health Awareness Week (14-18th of May) - the theme this year is stress, something that most of are familiar with. Art is proven to reduce stress, to help you relax, release tension and use creativity in a positive way.
Please tell your friends, come along and support Mind in Kingston!
