Mind in Kingston is delighted to have been awarded funding for the Get Set to Go programme, which supports people with mental health issues to improve their mental and physical wellbeing by accessing physical activities in their local community.

This project is delivered in partnership with AfC Wimbledon, our local EFL Team, and aims to get inactive people with mental health issues to improve their physical and mental wellbeing by accessing a wide range of physical activities, with support from peers – people with lived experience of mental health issues.

We have a vacancy for a Co-ordinator to deliver the project, to sign up participants, to recruit and support peer volunteers, make referrals and link to other physical activity programmes locally, and oversee the monitoring and evaluation of the project.

You will be meticulously organised, able to multi-task and work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative. Volunteering Opportunities:

Fundraising Volunteers

We have a new, exciting strategy for our fundraising. We want to increase our income from donations and funding, and get our name out there more so Mind in Kingston is a recognised local charity.

Do you have any experience of fundraising? Are you good at 'rallying the troops' and getting people on board? Are you good at organising events?

Then this is the role for you! We are looking for people who can help us realise our fundraising strategy, help promote our charity to potential funders and support us with events. This is an unpaid volunteering role; reasonable expenses will be paid.

For a full role description and details, please click here to download.

We ask everyone to fill in a volunteering application form, which gives you the opportunity to tell us about your skills, experience, knowledge and interests. You can download the form by clicking here.

Trustee with Clinical Experience

The Board of Trustees currently has one vacancy for someone with clinical experience of mental health in social care or the NHS such as a mental health social worker or a psychiatrist.

Trustees have overall responsibility for the charity, its governance and the strategic direction of Mind in Kingston.

While training and support will be provided, experience of management, finance, HR and working in a charity setting will be helpful.

We are particularly interested in recruiting trustees with lived experience of mental health.
