As part of our strategy work, we are striving to advance mental health equality in Kingston and surrounding areas.
The Magpie Project will benefit any adult of Korean heritage who is living, working or studying in the borough of Kingston, who is experiencing mental ill health or difficulties with their sense of wellbeing. The project will be open for referrals for wellbeing support in the form of culturally-sensitive 1:1 advice and guidance, group wellbeing sessions and mental health awareness training.

Allotment Lead Volunteer
Join our allotment team as Lead Volunteer and support people in our community to improve their mental wellbeing by growing food, maintaining our plot and learning about gardening.
We have a new, exciting strategy for our fundraising. We want to increase our income from donations and funding, and get our name out there more so Mind in Kingston is a recognised local charity.
Do you have any experience of fundraising? Are you good at 'rallying the troops' and getting people on board? Are you good at organising events?
Then this is the role for you! We are looking for people who can help us realise our fundraising strategy, help promote our charity to potential funders and support us with events. This is an unpaid volunteering role; reasonable expenses will be paid.
For a full role description and details, please click here to download.
We ask everyone to fill in a volunteering application form, which gives you the opportunity to tell us about your skills, experience, knowledge and interests. You can download the form by clicking here.
Trustee with Clinical Experience
The Board of Trustees currently has one vacancy for someone with clinical experience of mental health in social care or the NHS such as a mental health social worker or a psychiatrist.
Trustees have overall responsibility for the charity, its governance and the strategic direction of Mind in Kingston.
While training and support will be provided, experience of management, finance, HR and working in a charity setting will be helpful.
We are particularly interested in recruiting trustees with lived experience of mental health.

Physical Activity for Mental Health - Peer Volunteers & Session Leaders
We are currently recruiting activity and peer volunteers for our physical activity project!
We believe that mental health issues shouldn't be a barrier to physical activity for anyone. Our programme supports individuals to increase their physical activity with the focus on improving their mental health and wellbeing.
We are looking to connect with local people who are keen to use their own skill or experience of physical activity to support our project.
You may have experience of mental health issues and want to join us as a regular peer volunteer, using your own experiences to motivate, support and benefit others in your local community.
You may be a local physical activity provider or sporting coach and want to volunteer your time to support those who struggle to access mainstream physical activity sessions.
For further details please contact Rachel at the details below.
