Mind in Kingston runs a Community Allotment in Tolworth, which offers local people with mental health issues the opportunity to grow fruit and vegetables and learn more about healthy eating.
Gardening and being outdoors are proven to help people with mental health issues and improve mood, lessen anxiety and help people to relax.
The project is open to anyone with a mental health condition or issue, who will benefit from ecotherapy and is interested in learning about growing and tending plants, different varieties of fruit and vegetables and what to do with them.
Please note that the allotment project is currently on hold. We are looking for volunteer support, partnership and funding opportunities to enable us to relaunch the project. If you are able to offer us support in any of these capacities, please contact [email protected].
How can I join?
If you would like to take part and do some relaxing gardening on our allotment, please contact the office for further information. No referral is required.
