Volunteering Opportunities

Empowering Minds Forum Volunteer

We are looking for organised, enthusiastic and pro-active people to support the launch and delivery of our new Empowering Minds Forum (EMF). The aim of this EMF is to give individuals with experience of statutory and voluntary mental health services a voice and the opportunity to influence future service development.

Do you have any experience of using mental health services and a desire to work together to improve them?

Join our Mind in Kingston Empowering Minds Forum Volunteers team to help make group decisions on the development and direction of the forum as well as undertake actions to make this happen.

For a full role description and details, please click here to download.

We ask everyone to fill in a volunteering application form, which gives you the opportunity to tell us about your skills, experience, knowledge and interests. You can download the MiK Volunteer Application Form V1.

If you have any questions or would like any assistance completing the form, please email [email protected].

Allotment Lead Volunteer

We know that being in nature is good for our mental wellbeing, and growing your own vegetables, fruits and flowers has a lot of benefits for our health. If you enjoy gardening and wish to share your skills, why not join our allotment team as Lead Volunteer. As well as supporting volunteers on our Community Allotment, this role will ensure that people with mental health issues in our community can improve their mental wellbeing, connect with others and learn gardening skills.

For further details about the role, please download the Lead Volunteer Allotment Job Description.

If you wish to apply, please complete the MiK Volunteer Application Form V1 and send it to Rachel Dykins, Director of Development at [email protected].

Fundraising Volunteers

We have a new, exciting strategy for our fundraising. We want to increase our income from donations and funding, and let people in and around Kingston upon Thames know about Mind in Kingston and the work we do as a local charity.

Do you have any experience of fundraising?

Are you good at ‘rallying the troops’ and getting people on board? Are you good at organising events?

Then this is the role for you! We are looking for people who can help us realise our fundraising strategy, help promote our charity to potential funders and support us with events. This is an unpaid volunteering role; reasonable expenses will be paid.

For a full role description and details, please click here to download.

We ask everyone to fill in a volunteering application form, which gives you the opportunity to tell us about your skills, experience, knowledge and interests. You can download MiK Volunteer Application Form V1 here.
